Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP)

Welcome to CSFP

Welcome! CSFP is now managed by Feeding Louisiana, and we’re honored to serve seniors across the state. For more information about this transition, click here to read the full press release.

Through the CSFP, low-income seniors receive monthly food boxes filled with nutritious USDA foods designed to help supplement a healthy diet for seniors facing food insecurity.

The program is available to qualifying seniors, ages 60 and up. To learn more about eligibility and how to apply, click the button below:

Feeding Hope; One Box At a Time

Each food box contains specially selected, high-protein, and nutrient dense foods. These foods are donated to Louisiana by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In many cases, CSFP foods come packed in the same boxes and bags as the popular brand-name foods found on grocery store shelves.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted by the Regional Food Banks or at a distribution site.

Step 1: Check eligibility requirements to see if you qualify. You must be 60 or older, and a Louisiana resident. Click here to view income eligibility guidelines.

Step 3: Gather the required documents needed to apply. Click here for the full list.

Once your Preliminary Certification Application is received, you will be contacted within 3-5 business days.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
