Feeding Louisiana, the State Association of Food Banks, is now the contractor for the CSFP in Louisiana.  Feeding Louisiana is administering the program and distributing the HOPE boxes via its Food Bank members including:

Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana
Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana

Feeding Hope
One Box at a Time

Each food box contains specially selected, high-protein, and nutrient dense foods. These foods are donated to Louisiana by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In many cases, CSFP foods come packed in the same boxes and bags as the popular brand-name foods found on grocery store shelves.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted by the Regional Food Banks at the distribution site.

Step 1: Check eligibility requirements to see if you qualify. You must be 60 or older, and a Louisiana resident. Click here to view income eligibility guidelines.
Step 2: Complete the Preliminary Certification Application.
Step 3: Gather the required documents needed to apply. Click here for the full list.
Step 4:
Once your Preliminary Certification Application is received, you will be contacted within 3-5 business days.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
